New York & L.A. Times Won’t Pay For Twitter Check Marks As Imposter Concerns Grow

The NY Times told as a reason, that it’s not paying for “check mark status,” as Twitter doesn’t verify anyone’s identity when they subscribe to Twitter Blue.
Also, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and BuzzFeed will also not reimburse reporters for Twitter Blue for personal accounts.
