Futurist Amy Webb: Text-to-Everything Era Will End the Internet We Know

The next iteration of the internet is here, thanks to a confluence of technological advances. Amy Webb during her SXSW-talk told audience: “So now we have got new forms of content generated by all different types of people, and in some cases, just algorithms themselves. […] Instead of us searching the internet, the internet is searching you.” The new internet will be one in which all types of data flows into AI systems through any source or situation in a phenomenon Webb is calling “AIsmosis,” an amalgamation of ‘AI’ and ‘osmosis.’
