It’s going video-first by posting every other platform’s videos last.
Spam has exploded across the platform on Elon Musk's watch, but the newest fake accounts have given rise to a glorious meme
Musk said he had been "dying to do this for a year" because it made the feed look very clean.
More than a year since Elon Musk bought X with promises to get rid of the bots, the problem is worse than ever, experts say.
X first rolled out audio and video calls to its Premium members on iPhones in October of 2023. After the launch on Android in the previous month the company now expands it further to all members on the platform.
The majority (76%) of traffic from X to its advertisers websites during the Super Bowl was fake, a report suggests.
X claimed the platform generated more than 10 billion impressions and 1+ billion video views during the Super Bowl.

A video gaining views on rival platform Instagram Threads shows X search results where numerous bots, including many verified with a blue check, are posting a variation of the phrase "I'm sorry, I cannot provide a response as it goes against OpenAI's use case policy."
Elon Musk's X-formerly-Twitter has suspended the accounts of several journalists and leftist pundits without giving any explanation whatsoever.
The platform on Tuesday announced a number of content deals, including exclusive shows hosted by former CNN anchor Don Lemon, former congresswomen Tulsi Gabbard, and former Fox Sports host and current sports radio personality Jim Rome.
An X account called Historic Vids screwed up over the weekend and accidentally posted a video without any sound. This wouldn’t be that big of a problem except the whole “joke” of the video was the audio. In the actual video, it’s a Kazakhstani news anchor doing a tongue twister.
So you’d expect that Historic Vids’ video would have flopped without the audio. Except it didn’t. It has 30 million “views” and almost two thousand retweets. And the hundreds of replies beneath the video are all from other verified novelty accounts promoting their own content.
This has led to a bunch of people sharing the “dead internet” theory, which argues that majority of the web is actually just bots talking to each other. I don’t think that’s true for the whole web, but I am beginning to think that it is probably true for X.

In essence, the top chart shows that X is either losing active users, or keeping them around for less time. Which is also true of another stat that X has shared, that it’s seeing 1.5 million new account sign-ups every day. If that’s true, then they aren’t sticking around, because the overall usage numbers are not rising in-step.
